Progeria Research Grants

The Progeria Research Foundation awards grants to applicants who seek to conduct research to find the cause, treatment, or cure for Hutchinson-Gilford Progeria Syndrome (Progeria, or HGPS). Fall 2017 priorities are: 

1. Discovery of biological markers of disease in HGPS that can be assessed in human and/or mouse samples.
2. Discovery and/or testing of candidate treatment compounds in both cell based and mouse models of HGPS.

Applications in other areas will be accepted. 

The foundation offers 3 funding categories: 

1. Innovator Awards: $75,000 per year / 2 years 
 

2. Established Investigator Awards: $100,000 per year / 3 years 
 

3. Specialty Awards: Smaller, technology-driven projects. up to $50,000/ 1 year or less.
